I’m currently keeping the lights on at DPL as a System Administrator (Mar 2024–Present), managing servers, networks and everything in between from my home base in Moncton.

My longest stay was at OceanDBA as a Linux System Engineer, when I joined (again) in September 2021, where I built and maintained everything from MariaDB clusters and Proxmox virtual environments to Ansible automation and network performance tuning. In January 2023 I was promoted to Level 2 Engineer—taking on infrastructure design, mentoring the team, contributing to strategic decisions and leading hands-on training. In December 2023 I wrapped up my time there to begin a fully remote Level 2 contract from January to May 2024.

My passion for DevOps and networking actually began back in 2019, when I joined OceanDBA as a DevOps Database Engineer (Jun 2019–Nov 2020), and even earlier, during two internships (May 2018–Aug 2018 and Nov 2017–Jan 2018), where I cut my teeth on Bash scripting, MariaDB and LAN setup.

I also had a 10-month run at Prévoir Solutions Informatiques (Nov 2020–Aug 2021), helping with system engineering and network administration.

Throughout my career, I’ve built up expertise in Linux and Windows Server environments, Cisco IOS, Ubuntu, MariaDB, NFS, iptables and more—always with an eye on clear documentation and smooth collaboration. 🖥️⚙️

I completed my secondary education at Piton State College (graduating in 2015), where I ranked 469th out of the top 500 in the Cambridge International Examinations.

While pursuing my Bachelor’s in Computer Science at the University of Mauritius (2015–2019), I also took on a Motor Vehicle Engineering course in 2017—because why not combine code with combustion engines? 🛠️💻

After earning my degree in 2019, I continued to sharpen my skills and, in 2024, finished a Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure at Conestoga College.

This mix of rigorous academics and hands-on technical training has given me a solid foundation in both software and hardware realms!
